Jim Harrison retired after 34 years as a Technical Sales Manager for Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies (aka, Metal Improvement Company or MIC). He is currently working part time as a Technical Representative for Proto Manufacturing. Proto designs and manufactures automated and portable stress analysis systems for industry. Jim’s areas of expertise include laser peening, shot peening, peen forming and heat treat processing of metal parts. Jim has authored over a dozen articles on shot and laser peening. Prior to working for MIC, Jim worked for Learjet and the Coleman Co. of Wichita. Mr. Harrison is a graduate of the University of Kansas.
